Acceptable use policy
Last updated 16 October 2026
Scrap Exchange works because buyers and sellers can trust each other. This policy explains what is not allowed. It is part of our terms of use.
Listings
- List only scrap you own or have the right to sell.
- Use your own, real photos. Describe the material, weight and condition honestly.
- Never list stolen goods, hazardous or radioactive waste, weapons, explosives, medical waste, or anything illegal to sell in Pakistan.
- Do not post the same lot many times, or use listings to advertise something else.
Deals and pickups
- Keep to the price and pickup time you agree, or tell the other person in the chat.
- Weigh honestly. Tampering with scales or weights is fraud.
- Pay the agreed amount at the pickup.
- Do not push anyone to finish a deal outside the app to avoid reviews or dispute protection.
Chat, reviews and community
- Be respectful. No threats, harassment, hate speech or sexual content.
- Reviews must be about a real deal and your real experience.
- Do not share someone else's personal information without their permission.
- Never ask for or share sign-in codes or passwords. Scrap Exchange staff will never ask for them.
The service itself
- Do not try to get into other people's accounts or data, or get around security checks.
- Do not scrape, overload or attack the apps or the API, or use bots to create accounts, listings or offers.
- If you find a security problem, tell us through the Feedback page in the app instead of using it.
When the rules are broken
Our safety team reviews every report. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, warn you, limit your account or suspend it. Serious crimes may be reported to the authorities. You can report a listing, a member or a message from the app; problems with a deal go through the dispute process.
