Terms of use

Last updated 16 October 2026

These terms are the rules for using Scrap Exchange on the web and in the Android app. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read them, they are short.

What Scrap Exchange is

Scrap Exchange connects people who have scrap to sell with people and dealers who buy it. We are not a party to your deal. The buyer and the seller agree the price, weight and pickup between themselves, and are responsible for keeping their word.

Your account

  • Give your real name and keep your contact details correct.
  • Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One person, one account. You can be a buyer, a seller, or both.
  • You must be old enough to make a contract under the law of Pakistan.

Listings and offers

  • Describe your scrap honestly: the material, its condition and a fair estimate of the weight. Use your own photos.
  • Prices are per kg, in Pakistani rupees (Rs.). Photo price estimates are a guide, not a promise.
  • Only list things you own and are allowed to sell. Stolen goods, hazardous waste you are not licensed to handle, and anything illegal are not allowed.
  • Make offers you mean to keep. Accepting an offer is an agreement to meet for a pickup.

Pickups and payment

  • Weigh the scrap together at the pickup. If the weight or quality is different, agree the new price before paying.
  • Payment is made directly between the buyer and the seller, in cash, JazzCash, EasyPaisa or bank transfer. Scrap Exchange does not hold your money.
  • Follow our safety guidelines when you meet someone.

Problems and disputes

Talk to the other person in the chat first. If you can't sort it out, you can report a problem from the deal receipt within 7 days of the deal. A moderator looks at what both sides send and makes a decision. Moderators can warn, suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Behaviour we don't allow

  • Scams, fake listings, fake reviews, or pretending to be someone else.
  • Rude, threatening or unsafe behaviour, in the chat or in person.
  • Trying to get around our safety checks or misuse other people's data.

Your content and data

You own the photos and text you post. You let us show them on Scrap Exchange so the marketplace works. How we handle your personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Scrap Exchange running and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We are not responsible for what buyers and sellers do, or for the condition, weight or value of the scrap they trade.

Changes and closing your account

We may update these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app. You can stop using Scrap Exchange at any time and ask us to delete your account from Settings, Privacy and data.
