Prohibited items

Some things can't be listed or sold on Scrap Exchange, either because they are illegal or because they are dangerous to handle. Listings with these items are removed, and accounts that list them may be suspended.
Never allowed
- Stolen or unlawfully obtained property, including cut public cables, manhole covers, railway parts, road signs and utility meters.
- Gas cylinders that are not empty, valve-removed and certified safe, and pressurised containers.
- Weapons, ammunition and explosives, including shell casings and military items.
- Medical and biological waste: syringes, used medical equipment, and anything contaminated.
- Radioactive material and equipment containing radioactive sources.
- Hazardous chemicals and containers that still hold chemicals, oil or acid.
- Asbestos and materials containing it.
- Vehicles and parts without proper ownership, or with altered engine or chassis numbers.
- Anything else that is illegal to buy or sell in Pakistan.
Allowed with care
- Batteries: allowed, but describe the type and any damage, and keep them upright. See selling batteries safely.
- Appliances with refrigerant (ACs, fridges): allowed; leave pipes and compressors sealed for the buyer.
- E-waste: allowed; wipe your data first.
